Immanuel, we are committed to helping marriages achieve the success that God
intended when he said, "the two shall become one." This becoming is
not a "quick fix" or magical moment at a flower lined altar, but an
intentional growing between a man and a woman committed to one another, and,
we believe, to the Lord, for life. In order to achieve the goal of being a church
that supports marriage, we are in the process of putting together a strategic,
comprehensive ministry vision with many components. Look over this page, give

The
Golden Circle Club
Immanuel has at least fifty couples married fifty years or more. What an amazing
source of wisdom! In the past month, we have begun the process of training “partnering
couples” out of that group of seasoned saints. Now we can begin to make
this opportunity available to couples who are engaged or who have been married
for five years or less. It is not so much a program as an opportunity. The matched
couples will be encouraged to meet informally on a monthly basis for a year.
The structure of each “get together” is up to each group of seasoned
and newlywed teams. If you are in the “newlywed” category described
above, just give us a call at the church office (685-3200) and we will get you
a registration form. Then you will be matched with a “golden circle”
partnering couple. That couple will contact you to invite you to your first
fellowship time.
Of course, these
relationships are limited to the number of “golden circle” partnering
couples available to serve for one year. If you have a long-term marriage as
described above, and are willing to serve as a “partnering couple”
to newlyweds, please contact the church office (685-3200) and ask how you can
become involved. It will bless your life to be a blessing to others!
