My house shall
be called a house of prayer for all peoples.
Isaiah 56:7
Thank
you for turning to Immanuel's prayer and devotion page. At Immanuel, we believe
in helping you become a more fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ. One pathway
God uses to transform us is prayer. We hope that the resources provided will
be helpful in creating sacred space for your daily time with God.
If you would like
to share your prayer needs with people around the world who will pray, the following
sites are set up to receive your requests: 24 Hour Prayer Band, The Upper Room,
Guideposts, and Bible Pathway. God bless you as you lay your requests before
the throne of the Lord.
If you would be
more comfortable doing your daily devotions in Spanish, the following sites
offer Spanish versions of each day's devotional thought: The Upper Room, Our
Daily Bread, Bible Pathway, and Praying with Paul.
Immanuel now has
a comfortable prayer room for your use during hours that the building is open.
The room is equipped with spiritual literature and prayer requests. Please stop
by and use this resource to help you as an aid in your prayer time with God.
Opportunities
are available for times of focused group prayer. One is the "Immanuel
Hour" which meets Wednesday evenings in the Fellowship Hall from
6:15 until 7:00 p.m. under the leadership of Pastor Craig and Steve Gray. Another
is the "Prayer Ministry" meeting in the Prayer Room
on Sunday evenings from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. While the Immanuel Hour focuses on
the sick, homebound, and missionaries around the world, the Prayer Ministry
Team focuses on the work of our pastoral staff, as well as seekers that we anticipate
will be among us for the Sunday services. It is led by Leah Cloys and Debrah
Ratcliff. Debrah also heads up our efforts to pray in the prayer room during
both of our a.m. services. We encourage you to choose a focused time of group
prayer where you can practice the presence of God. As Jesus said, "where
two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there in the midst of them"
(Matthew 18:20).
